On Sunday, January 22th 2012 happened an accident between a car and some pedestrian. There were 12 pedestrian who walked on the sidewalk and suddenly a car which the driver was Afriyani Susanti hit the sidewalk and also 12 pedestrian there.When she drove the car, she and her friends were under the influence of drugs. It caused 9 pedestrian died and 3 others critically injured.
The police
directed Afriyani Susanti become a suspect and also her friends because used
the drugs. Of course the victim's family felt very sad and loss. They
wanted if the suspect have responbility with them. Afriyani Susanti charged
under article plated and will receive a minimum sentence of 5 years in prison.
Afriyani's
family apologized profusely to all the families of the victims and promised to account
for everything. Afriyani wrote a letter for the victims that she apologized for
all her mistakes
.
It is the most horrific
events as the rider who is under the influence of drugs is very harmful to others,
including pedestrians who actually did not break traffic rules, but drugs is
prohibited in this country. I think the government should be more assertive in enforcing
the prohibition against drugs because not only endanger yourself but also
others, as seen in Tugu Tani. I hope all the families of victims can
be sincere.
I hope all the families of the victims can receive with
sincerity and law enforcement officials can decide punishment with justice in
order to avoid such problems occurring again in the Tugu Tani.
